Happy Spring!

I apologize for not keeping this site updated more but you know how it goes.
I started my new job a few weeks ago. All is going well. The opening of the store is not until March 24, but we get to set it all up from scratch. So far I have been able to juggle work and childcare without having to rely on anyone but family.
Now on to another topic. I am a big "bookmarker", I surf around from one site to the next and find something else intriguing but don't want to forget about the other cool site I was at, so, I bookmark A LOT. So, every once in a while I go back through trying to figure out why I marked a site, it isn't always evident. Anyway, I don't just mark things for myself, I think of other people and want to share them, so here are a few of my favorite sites:

We have a little sheepskin rug and everybody loves it. If you have never layed on a sheep fleece, you are missing out. They are so good for new babies to sleep on and I can see why.

Oh yeah, our radio show now longe runs as the station no longer exists. Some moron did a newspaper article on our pirate radio station and got busted. Oh well, I feel so "Pump up the volume."

Shades of Gallup

We are experiencing a very strange, extremely cold front. It is 9:30 pm and about 18 degrees. That is very rare for the valley floor. The news people keep threatening snow but it stays in the mountains. The winds are so strong right now I can feel my attic windows rattle all the way downstairs. There have been many toppled trees from the combination of very soggy earth, enourmous old trees and very strong winds. There have been a few damaged housed and cars but no fatalities. The light rail system is shut down because high winds caused the overhead electric cables to tangle. One of the bridges was also shut down due to wind-causing malfunctions. Walking outside into the bright sunshine, only to feel the bite of jack frost reminds me of good ol' Gallup. I laughed when Sunny told me the principal kept all the kids inside today because it was so cold outside! Even the fire department was not prepared for temperatures so cold the water on the ground from putting out a housefire was freezing as soon as it hit the pavement!

Just a few snapshots from the past week. We actually had sun today. It was nice to see, we are supposed to stay dry all week. I do love the rain but clear days also mean morning fog and it sure is beautiful.

Sunny got this giraffe suit for her birthday and Forest wears it almost everyday. He just goes and plays in the swampy backyard in his giraffe suit!
